Congratulations Coach!!! It's long overdue. Although I didn't have you as a coach, you are still my all time favorite teacher. :)

I would like to say that Coach Richardson was not only a great coach, he was an even better role model of how to live like a great man.

Character, Compassion, Commitment, and above all a Christian.

Thanks Coach,

I registered with these forums so I could reply to this post. I only ran track in 8th and 9th grade, but I remember Coach Richardson well as a Coach and as my Algebra II teacher in 9th grade (the first year in the new Norman Junior High. He was tough at times, but it was because he believed in pushing young people in reaching their full potential. The teachers in my life were one of the reasons for me going into the field of education myself.

Coach was a great coach but he is still my favorite teacher of all time. I think I still hold the record for most Coach Richardson Headbutts received in class for either saying something stupid or just falling asleep. He told us once to stop saying "My Bad" because it irritated him to hear that. He told us, "You say that when you do something stupid, so say my stupid instead or I'll headbutt you or Bryant one!" He always made things interesting. Congrats coach! A well deserved honor to a well deserved man!

I remember Coach Richardson well. He was the defensive coordiantor and the track coach when I was in school 21 years ago. He was one of the best coaches Crossett ever had. I know he was a big influence for me, and I just want to say Thanks Coach Richardson.
