A few years back right after Q-Lite won the right to broadcast Crossett Eagle Football, the Eagle Club was born in order to recognize Coach T & his hard work, plus sponsored awards such as the Tribal STIK of the WEEK by Ashley Inn and the Player of the Game, this year sponsored by Worker B's and also new this year the Scholar Athlete of the Week sponsored by Taco Bell, all for the PLAYERS.
Eagle Club meets on Fridays at noon in the Fireside room at Lakewood Inn-Country Vittles, dutch treat. Soon as we out grow the Fireside Room we should move to the Pines Room. This was started simply as a way to publicly recognize these kids in a manner to hopefully make them feel special and generate some enthusiasm for the kids and the program as a whole. (as a side note this was never intended to take away from or diminish the role of the Crossett Eagle Booster Club in any shape form or fashion, just another avenue of support.) No dues, no requirements (U don't have to eat if U don't choose to), just show up and support these kids and the coaching staff. Remember these kids are the future leaders of Crossett and they need your support much more at 0 & 6 than at 6 & 0! Please join us if possible, the seafood buffet prepared by Becky Roberts & staff is delicious or order from the menu.
Thanks for taking the time to read this post, and hopefully thank you in advance for showing up on Fridays when time permits. The comments and thoughts contained here are strictly my own and no one else's or Q-Lite 99.5 Radio.
