It's been a tough year, and I hate it for our seniors, because most of the few seniors we have are very good athletes, and severel of them will play college ball. They just don't have enough older, bigger boys to help em out; but man, when you look at the speed of our track team coming up to host the "Eagle Relays", (finally home again, thank you lord!). Add a strong, (once again, young) baseball team that's gonna be exciting to watch, (can you say Bobby Ross?), and all these boys coming back to the football field next year, you gotta be optimistick about what's coming up for Crossett. Just hang on boys, I think things are fixin to pick up for awhile,,, and you daddys of them 1st, and 2nd graders. Get them boys into Boy's Club Football. That's one of the reasons that this group starting next year have done pretty well. They've been playing together since the first grade. It makes a world of difference. And just an after thought, if anybody runs across Bull Tate, give 'im a thumbs up and let him know that folks care about him.

I've talked to Bull several times and I think that he has a sense of resolve to come back and play next year. I also asked him about grades and he said that right now they are in order.

Do we have a "peewee" tackle football league, or just flag football? If not, I think that could make a huge difference for us to have one. The longer the players in high school have been playing the better....it sure doesn't seem like it could hurt, anyway.

the hard thing is th efact that we have alot of kids come out to play Jr high football but teh coachs dotn play but a select few and the rest just end up quiting. in 7 th grade every boy played almost a 100 in think football byt teh time i am a senor i think we had 12 senor that is beacuse they never made it to highschool because they never got to play in jr high.

Yeah, I don't understand that. It seems to me like the purpose of Jr. High football is not JUST to win, but also let the guys play the game so they can mature and win when they get to high school football. If they 7th graders would just wait until 9th grade, they'd be more likely to start some games and stick with it.

C-villian - I think if you will think back you will remember that there were 22 seniors boys at homecoming that year.

C-villian - I think if you will think back you will remember that there were 22 seniors boys at homecoming that year. must forget that we had 2 out with knee injuses. and half of us still never got to play. I know one of the guys taht never mised a practice for 3 years and the only game he got in at now kidding was the last game of his senor year.
