:oI know basketball season has just begun and there is more college football to come...but I can say I am looking forward to watching some JV and CHS High School baseball this spring. In looking back on last year's season and the Eagles playing in the Saturday of Champions at Baum Stadium, I look forward to the opportunity to do that again.
I will say this also....if you read some of the other baseball website forums last spring(FF or xtrainnings.net), there were a lot of baseball players and fans from other towns who talked trash and were constantly touting themselves or even certain parts of the state as producing the best baseball players. Crossett, for the most part, was never really mentioned as being in contention to play in the state chamionship game.....even up to the very end. There weren't any CHS players talking or touting on line. However, what Crossett did....was to play up to a level of ball that enabled them to work their way through the district and state tournaments..... to having a great day in Fayetteville and show that, yes.....Crossett can play baseball with the best in the state. A lot of these same CHS players will be back this year. Oh yeah!!
Now where's that ball bucket and where's a fresh pack of sunflower seeds.
Hmmm...I think all that talk on the other thread of this forum....of painted bellies and thongs (re: jwh and eg) made PoppaEagle try to think of other pleasant (baseball) thoughts to try and remove those graphic images before they were etched into my mind. Shutter.......lol.
