I'm going to go out on limb here and post a subject that has become a heated debate among our moderators. THE QUESTIONS: 1.What coaches should be considered for the Crossett job? 2. Who would you like to see hired as head coach? 3.Who do you think will actually be hired? Now, before anyone answers let me give you this advice. STICK TO THE TOPIC. Any replies that derail the topic will be deleted!!! If someone says I would like Coach X to come then I don't want to see a reply saying there is no way in heck he would come here. I want answers to the 3 questions above.

1. I will agree with anybody who applies should get a fair chance. 2. I truly think Greg would be a great choice and would put his heart and soul into the job. 3. Greg Johnson

1. Anybody and everybody, with preferential treatment given to coaches who have been associated with championship-caliber programs. 2. I couldn't make an assessment on that without knowing who applies, but the ideal candidate would have been associated with championship-caliber programs in a coaching capacity (as a head coach or top assistant). 3. Greg Johnson.

I like his balanced offenses and stout defenses.

I have one answer for all three questions. Someone that is not and will not be involved in the politics that seems to exists here in sports. A coach who will be his own man and not allow parents and the booster club to influence his decision making.

I hate to bust your bubble, but if whoever gets the job doesn't play the political role, it will be vacant in no time at all again. Proven too many times.

1 Someone without ties to this area 2 I would look to the texas programs for a young assistant from a winning program who knows how to build a program and not just a coach that fields teams year to year. 3 Depends on the process
