As many of you know this fall will mark the 30th anniversary of the 1978 AAA State Championship Season for the Crossett Eagles. To commemorate that season I think it would be great if the crossetteagles.com and the booster club work together to coordinate some kind of event to honor this team in the upcoming season. Wouldn't it be great to get as many of the former '78 Eagles together? I have several ideas and just want to see if there is any interest in this idea.

To quote Captain Picard from Star Trek, "Number One, make it so." Come up with a plan and lets get this thing done.

My ideas involve maybe having an informal gathering prior to an Eagle game this fall. Maybe a hamburger and hotdog supper for the players and families and a t shirt to commemorate the event.. Perhaps a highlight reel of the season. Bring in as many of the former coaches as possible too. maybe have the guys lead the current Eagles onto the field through the tunnel. And of course recognition either prior to the game or at halftime of the team. thats just a few ideas i have . I would like to do the same thing next year for the 25th anniversary of the '84 team.

Do it all during homecoming week. We can bring 'em out at halftime and just go crazy!! West Monroe had an "Ultimate Homecoming" a few years ago that included several years in a row (5) of graduates. I know that our class (class of 77) had a tough time getting a good group last year for our 30th reunion, so we would be up for something like that. Ultimate Reunion! Utimate Reunion!
