Saw Keena today, she's obviously in some pain and discomfort and her arm is in a sling. She should be back in school again tomorrow and the sling might even be off. She'll have to have a consultation with an orthopedic surgeon to check progress. In the meantime she has to soak her elbow in warm water and work on range of motion.
Thank goodness it wasn't worse, because it could have been. Happened in the turf room. Out on the old track, in the gym or even on grass, she probably would have broken her arm. And she was not doing a basket toss.

Not that I'm old or anything but I played in the 80's and I never recalled a parade. About the most drastic event they had was a pep rally/ Bon fire which was pretty neat. It really seemed to fire the players up

Bon fires always were kind of fun, although I don't really know why. Basically just a pep rally in the dark. hogdog where did they have bonfires when you were in school.
Ctown LOL at water balloons. You're right about how warm it is. Indian summer I guess.

A platform is being brought in for the homecoming court to sit on for the game. At least, that is the last thing coming from adminstration and student council.

I believe someone asked earlier who the team captains were, well Govana Turner and Kyle Cockerham are the captains. Well, they are the only two seniors that are going to be escorting two maids at the homecoming assembly.

Speaking as one of these "senior/AARP" posters, I don't ever remember a parade either. We also had our bon fires on the field that is now the parking lot in the early seventies.
