Should Arkansas be in the NCAA? Many think they shouldn't.

Well I look at it like this. There are lots of teams who were left out and should not have been (syracuse). The so-called experts always say that a lot rides on how strong a team finishes, well the Hogs finished really really strong. Losing to Florida in my opinion is not a negative as far as the selection goes, heck they are the defending nat. chanps and may very well be again. I think the hogs got in because they did the improbable, they made some noise in the sec tourny........

I think no, and I wish that it hadn't happened because that would mean that we'd no longer be stuck with the services of Stan Heath.
Really, does anybody believe that Heath ever will do better than he has done here so far? I certainly don't. We're going to see this same scenario play itself out every single year.

I'm not sure I believe he is the man to take us to the promise land. I am still glad the committee put us in.

I think the team that should NOT be in is Stanford, because I believe they only had like 18 wins or something..may be wrong there though.
Also, How is Georgia Tech and (6) Duke ranked so high? I think they were both 8-9 in their conference, which obviously means they didn't break .500 in their conference. I think they were only such a high seed because of their names and reputations probably.

I think we need to stop and think for a second...............Every good coach had to had to start off from the bottom and Stan is one of those coaches. I think in time he will develop into a very respectable coach. We as Hog fans need to just give him a chance. I know in the past I have been hard on Stan but I see now he has improved every year there on the Hill.

If it was up to me, the big question as to whether Stan stays or goes is this- Will he continue to have so-so regular seasons, and continue finishing just strong enough to make the tournament? If so, that's not good enough for me, and it won't be good enough to pack the arena the way it used to be packed.

They should be in the tournament and will punch USC in the face in two days.
Every year there are teams who could have made but didn't. There will always be teams who could have made it but didn't. I tend to think the NCAA should scrap the NIT and expand the NCAA field to 96 teams. If they did, it would cut down a lot on the griping. All it would mean is one more game for the bottom 62 teams in the tourney, You would give the top 32 teams a bye in the first round then play the 2nd round on as they normally do now.
If they fire Heath now, I hope the NAACP , the Rainbow Coalition, and however else jumps all over the Athletic dept for racism. Heath is improving as a coach. He is one of the coaches with integrity we have on the hill. I don't want to see him run off yet.

Keep your eye on Stan Heath. If Arkansas has the wisdom to let this young coach continue his early education with the Hogs, we could very well have one of the strongest runs in college basketball in the years to come. Heath is a quality coach that came into a terrible situation, and is just about to turn the corner. When he get's completely around that corner, I believe that we are gonna have some great decades of Arkansas Basketball. Just keep your eye on Stan Heath.

There's one thing that NOBODY can say bad about Stan Heath, and that's recruiting. People can say he can't coach a game all they want (whether it's true or not), but he's an amazing recruiter in my mind. I'm not concerned with whether he stays or goes anymore. If he stays and wins, I'll be happy. If someone else comes in and wins, I'll be happy. Whoever the coach is next season, or ever for that matter, I'm going to support.

After last night I'm not even sure if they should have been in the NIT. It was a good game for about 4 minutes. Same old same old. Rushing shots, bad ball handling, not knowing how to box out. Same crap we have had to endure for 5 seasons now. Time to move on regardless of Heath making it to the dance.
Rumor is Stan will take the Minnesota job. We can only hope it's true.!

Well, we can only hope it's true IF we can get one of the big-name coaches. A downgrade from Stan Heath, or hiring a guy that hasn't proved himself yet, could be very detrimental to the Razorback basketball program. It's time to open up the UA pocketbook and get somebody worth getting.
