I have a son on the football team, so I know where you are coming from, I also chaperoned the dance and saw that most of the football players didn't get there but for about an hour of the dance. But you also have to look at it from other point of views - some of these kids are very young that attend the dance and the parents really don't want them out as late as the dance would need to be extended. Also most of the volunteers that put the homecoming ceremonies and dance together are worn out. They don't just start puttting everything together at the last moment. They started getting ready for this a week ahead of time. They worked every night on this and didn't get paid for it. I admire them for the extras that the staff and faculty at CHS, NJHS and even some from DIS put into the ceremonies.
And what a neat tradition - wasn't the ceremony fantastic!!!! The tradition of not knowing who the queen was - until in the ceremony, and all of the maids wearing the same gorgeous dresses. The rough and tough football players looking their best. The students were commendable in their behavior. All in all I think that it was a good homecoming. I just wish that the score would have been different.
How many other towns carry on this type of tradition? Also - point of interest at this weeks game the Eaglettes will celebrate 50 years in existence.

If time is an issue, then have the dance at 6:00 on Saturday night. That conflicts with nothing.

Not everyone who left the game left because the team was loosing. I don't live there anymore but my daughter came home for Homecoming and was hoping to see some other people she graduated with. She didn't see anyone there so she left with the one friend she hadn't seen in 2 years and they had some catching up to do.

well crossett games use to end earlier but now since we pass alot more the clocks stops instead of keeping on rolling. This makes the games last longer.

well i mean i cant blame T for not running that much we havent had much success if any i mean have we even had a rushing TD all year and i mean a designed rushing play.

The first TD of the year was a rushing TD. There have been very, very few.
I was struck more by the rushing yardage, or lack thereof. I don't think that the team has had a single game all season in which the total rushing yardage ended in the three digits.
More than any one on-the-field thing, the inability to run the football is what has hurt this team.

Everyone was leaving when they were down 19 because they knew that crossett's offense could not score 3 td's the second half. But hey i'm glad to see my man pete is a starter on defense now! He is the man! Go #12!!

No matter how good pete plays,he's a sophomore and has 2 more years and this experience will help him.If coach t doesnt get him in at qb before the end of the year,it could be another long year next year! Hey,try something new since obviously something is not working.Put pete the starting qb against pulaski academy and see what happens!!!Put #15 at wide receiver!

Haha, so you really think we'd be better off with 'Pete' at QB than with Turner at QB? That's interesting to say the least, lol. I think the problem is the young offensive/defensive lines, because we have good skill players (WR, QB, RB). I think Pete should stick to whatever he plays now. Who will be the QB next year? I figured it might be Dylan, but I think he moved. Could it be the almighty Pete? lol

I know you're saying all this as a joke, but it is wearing thin. There is a fine line when it comes to bashing a player. You are getting very, very close to that line. Knock it off.

I'm sorry about all the public address announcements about staying in the stands,, following orders don't ya know. Maybe we could change up each announcement for variety. Something like, "If we catch you little f$#@s out of the stands, we're gonna whip the ever livin s#!# out of you!", or, "You like them teeth?, keep your seat!". Just a thought
