Congrats to the 7th grade Eagles on picking up thier first victory Saturday. They defeated Lafayette County(7th and 8th graders) 14-6 at Camden Harmony Grove. A little action from the game with Tavarius Tucker on the reverse.

If this is their first win, it may not be too good lol. They are still young though, they have a lot of room to develop. So, from the expert who supplied the picture, how do you think they'll be in high school? lol

Yeah, I can name a couple that went to Hamburg and play football there. What's the deal with everybody thinking it's 'cool' to go to school at Hamburg now? lol I know several people that went there and hated it, and came back a couple of weeks later. I liked CHS, and once I was in high school, I knew I didn't want to go anywhere else.

The 7th grade had made lots of improvement. They play their final game Monday against Hermitage. They had had limited practice time and it was evident in the first jamboree. I think these kids are finally figuring out what it's all about. They have a couple of promising backs and Grant Collins is going to be a pretty good QB. He's a lefty, thats something I don't think Crossett has ever had.

Why have they had limited practice time? Not enough coaches. They have to wait until after the Jr. and 8th grade finish before any coaches are available. Then they only practice about an hour 2 days a week.

Man, why can we not afford more coaches? Does Hamburg have more coaches for Jr. High than we do? It seems like other schools always gay WAY more money from grants and stuff than we do...

Speaking of left handed quarterbacks..... back in the day, late 60's...NJHS had a QB named Jack Murphy. If Jack rolled out left to pass....he threw the ball with his left hand. If he rolled out right to pass....he threw the back with his right hand. He was a good athlete and could throw with either arm. Never played high school ball that I can remember. ......... Just expressing a point of interest.
