If we're going to win any games this year, this might be the one...Monticello and McLellan (however u spell it) are the two weakest teams we'll play I think.

Monticello's not too bad. Started off poorly like last season but really has improved late.
Weakest teams on the schedule were McClellan and McGehee. Monticello has beaten both Central and Robinson, two teams that handled Crossett easily.

I thought that Monticello had beaten Robinson a couple of weeks back, but I was wrong. I'm not sure how I missed that. Robinson won 31-28. It's going to be White Hall, PA, Mills and Robinson in that order, unless Mills pulls the upset over White Hall and forces a three-way tie and PA gets first based on points.

OK, I'm amending my earlier statement once again.
One Web site has Robinson's beating Monticello 31-28, while the other has it the other way around. I thought that I remembered Monticello's winning the game.
And in actuality, if the playoffs began tomorrow, Mills would be the conference champion based on points over second-place White Hall. PA would be third. Depending on which score is right, either Robinson or Monticello would be fourth.
Most people are saying already that there is no way that Mills will capture the conference title even though it is undefeated in conference play right now, so most people think of it as a two-way race between an undefeated White-Hall team and a one-loss PA team. But Mills is undefeated in conference play just as White Hall is. The only thing is, Mills has yet to play either White Hall or PA, and most people see losses in these last two weeks.

I dug it up. Monticello did beat Robinson. that would give Monticello the 4 seed right now.

Unfortunately, at this point, I think a 2-win season would be a real accomplishment...

Not to mention also that the Eagles havent' won at Monticello in more than 10 years. I'm not sure when the last victory there was, but it was before I started covering them.

You may have beat them your sophomore year, but it was probably a home game for you if you did. We beat them (obviously, lol) the year Ray Charles was a senior, was he a year ahead of you?

Or did you mean that you should have beat them, but didn't? I'm a little confused, but either way...we beat them in 2003 right? but it was at home?

Ctown is talking about the '02 game when Crossett got DRILLED by a vastly-inferior Monticello team on the road. That loss actually upended everything that the Eagles had done that season.
