Only two or three of us on the board have seen Dumas this year. Dumas really surprised me...I was impressed. Considering how far down this program was over the last couple of years, this is an excellent team.
The quarterback, Kendall Council, is a gamer but went down with an injury in the last minute of last week's game with Hamburg. Bobcat88, is he back and healthy? If he is, he gives Dumas a chance I think.

Yeah, their QB was probably the fastest guy on their team, and their running back was really fast also. I watched the Hamburg vs. Dumas game, and I was trying to figure this out. I kept thinking I was seeing their QB returning kickoffs on special teams, can anyone confirm that? I was just thinking that would be a terrible idea if it's true.

Yes he was the deep man on kickoffs. Explosive runner. You have to utilize that where you can.

I don't know where else to post this, but this looks like a good spot to me. I would like to extend an invitation to everyone from Crossett that is not ready to give up on football yet to come to Hamburg Friday night and help support us against Prairie Grove. I know that don't sound right asking Crossett to support Hamburg, but we really appreciate and need all the support we can get. After all, this is south Arkansas.

Me and someone else talked about the same thing, I don't think he ever came out of the game till the end when he went down with an injury, still that was only 2 plays.

I've been told the story behind the Hamburg helmet being painted on the field for this week. It brings back memories from nearly thirty years ago.

The year, the coaches and all the players were differant, but the outcome was the same. The Bobcats traveled to Osceola way back in 1993 and pulled of the upset of the Seminoles, last night was much of the same. The Bobcats survived another early turnover which allowed the Seminoles to take an early 6-0 lead, then rattled off 22 unanswered points to take a 22-6 halftime lead. After an extended halftime due to severe weather both teams exchanged blows to start the second half, Osceola struck first on an Elroy Brown 48 yard run, but that was quickly answered by JJones, as he raced 82 yards to put the Bobcats up 30-12. The rest of the game was played between the 30's in what turned out to be a big mudhole. Speedy Osceola WR Cam Baker had 2 touches, one being a 15 yard run and a first down catch late in the second half. Elroy Brown was ad advertised, big and strong and tough to bring down, but with Seminoles having no passing game, Dumas keyed on the running game and was able to put an end to the Seminoles. For the Bobcats Justin Jones led the Bobcats with 152 yards rushing inluding the long 82 yard run. Kendall Council, who appeared to be close to 100% was 9-18 for 171 yard and 2 td's, Council also had a 1 yard rush for a TD. The Bobcats travel to Ashdown next week to take on the Panthers, a 28-0 winner over Clarksville.

bbolin, I am about 99.9% sure I know exactly who you are talking about. And I agree with you, that's who came to mind when I heard it had been painted on there.
And great season Lions, but that running game just couldn't be stopped. And I wish the game didn't run so late, I had to get up at 4:30 the next morning, lol.
