Isn't this a fairly big change from last years conference? I don't remember playing Beebe or Sylvan Hills, and I'm unsure on North Pulaski. What teams were taken out of our conference? PA...who else?

North Pulaski was the doormat of the SE conference in football for several years before the current cycle put them in AAAAA-East. Sylvan hills had a 2 year run last cycle in the SE finishing 2nd both years and making it all the way to the finals in the first year. They are currently in AAAAAA. Beebe as many may recall eliminated Crossett from the playoffs a few yews back. They have been in the AAAAA- East for quite sometime. Gone are Pulaski Robinson ,Pulaski Acadamy and West Helena. The Pulaskis are both headed to AAAAA-SW and the WH is headed to the East.

So overall, do you think it will be a tougher conference now than last year?

That's not this fall's alignment, that's NEXT fall's alignment. This fall will be the same as last.
And no, this conference isn't going to be tougher. It is going to be a whipping-boy conference again with the changes. PA is leaving and so is Robinson and it appears that FINALLY the Helena-West Helena schools are gone!!!
However, you're trading that off for three different schools that are northeast of Little Rock in Sylvan Hills (Sherwood), North Pulaski (Jacksonville) and Beebe. Absolutely outlandish that Beebe would be in the "Southeast."
Football records of these teams last season were a combined 34-50. And that includes a White Hall team that went 10-2. Only two of them even had winning records.
chs 1-9 beebe 5-5 mcclellan 1-9 mills 7-4 mont 5-6 np 0-10 sh 5-5 wh 10-2

So...does this mean that the fall 2007 football season will not reflect these changes yet?

So...does this mean that the fall 2007 football season will not reflect these changes yet? Exactly. Realignment is done in two-year cycles. So you'll always have the same conference alignment for two consecutive years unless something weird happens (like if a team drops its program or something).
