That conference opener probably is the pivotal game on the schedule.

They must have lost a lot of talent since last year...what was the score last year, 50-20 or something? Then again, I see us being much better this year than last also.

Magnolia did graduate a lot of talent, but Crossett had enough talent even last year to win every game on the schedule. It's a little more seasoned now and being utilized differently, and those two factors should be huge in working to Crossett's advantage.

I might just make the short drive over to Magnolia to see that game. I really wish El Dorado and Crossett would start playing each other again, right here in my back yard.

There's a program that really has fallen from grace. I'm an El Dorado native and remember the good years in the mid '80s. Wildcats also had great teams under Scooter Register. Since then they've installed a revolving door in the field house.

This is one crazy county when school sports is concerned...Junction City, Parkers Chapel, Norphlet, Smackover and Strong all play each other...talk about heated conversation at work, throw El Dorado in the mix and it gets superheated quick. Kinda like having 3 Hamburgs and 3 Crossetts in the same county.

It's even worse during basketball season! And these days there is no Union, Mount Holly or Huttig...

I see on FF that Pulaski Academy got beat by Dollarway tonight- is Dollarway better than usual this year, or is PA in a down year? Seems to me like we definitely have a chance at taking down PA this year.

If Crossett plays to its potential, every team in the SE is beatable this year. Next Friday will let us know where this team is really at. If they beat Robinson, they will make the playoffs.

I see on FF that Pulaski Academy got beat by Dollarway tonight- is Dollarway better than usual this year, or is PA in a down year? Dollarway is a very good team. I wouldn't say that Dollarway is any better than normal. Remember, this team is only two or three years past a state-title appearance. Athletically Dollarway stacks up with the best of the best every single year and probably is better than most if not all of the 5A-Southeast teams this fall. Likewise PA is far from being in a "down" year. PA is a fantastic program and this was only a non-conference game. So don't get too hasty. Had PA been beaten by Dermott or something, THAT would have signified a down year. PA is hands-down the favorite to win the Southeast as it should be. First thing's first for Crossett and that's Robinson, which I said in the preseason is the pivotal game on the entire schedule. We're about to find out exactly how good both of these teams are come Friday.
