How did Hamburg fare against Magnolia? And how long has it been since we beat Magnolia? Eagles last won the game in 2004. Should have won it in 2005. Hamburg tied Magnolia. Unless Day really is hiding his hands, this is the worst Magnolia team I've ever seen before. Last year's was the best, this year's is the worst. Doesn't appear to be much talent out there, they are smallish and graduated all of their speed. And there were some real defensive vulnerabilities, especially to the run and you know how much Crossett likely will run this year. If I'm Ingram I'm running outside a lot. That misdirection stuff likely is going to hurt the Panthers. |

Hootens are not thinking too kind about Ashley County teams this week, they have Magnolia by 6 over Crossett and Monticello by 8 over Hamburg. Maybe we can both prove them wrong this week. It is posted on Hootens.com.

It is posted on Hootens.com. Also will run in the News Observer, as it has been for the last 10 years. I'm not the biggest HAFR fan, but it does provide an interesting catalyst for discussion. |

Word from the other side of the river is Magnolia is in a down year...not much for the panthers to scream about. I work with one of the younger players father, big panther fan. Just remember though...they were always tough to play.

Yep, over the last decade, even in years when Crossett should have dominated Magnolia, Magnolia either won or made it close.

I'm leaving the belly paint at home as well, but I am bringing the belly.. I expect a HUGE crowd from Crossett. I think the hamburger supper was a good indicator of how excited people are this year. That was a lot of people, in some high heat, just for an introduction to the team. I can't wait.
