I suppose the board could pull a U of A and tell the search committee, "Try Again.", if they didn't like the recommendation. Didn't think I'd ever see that happen till Ark did it with Grobe. I seriously doubt that would ever happen in this case, but the possibility would be there. One way or another, this all will be resolved in 11 or 12 days . This is always a possibility,however this rarely happens because the board doesn't do interviews or gets little to no information on the applicants that most times they (the board) has very little to base a decision such as this. Such as hiring teachers,the board legally does the hire, when in reality never sees the teachers face to face. |

That's the purpose of the search committee. I think it could be more accurately referred to as a hiring committee. |

Word is starting to leak out of Ashdown that Coach Ledford has agreed to become the Crossett coach pending the approval of the board on Thursday night. This is coming from people in Ashdown. I have heard nothing from people in Crossett that would confirm or deny this. We will know for sure tomorrow night.
