It's almost here, the 2007 season is coming soon. The season starts next weekend for a few of our kids as they will be heading up to UCA for winter camp. Can't wait to see Larry and Robby slaving away out at the complex!!!! Wait never mind all Larry does is ride around in the cart.

Although it was in the mid 40's this weekend in Conway, Hogdog and I spent 2 days enjoying a little baseball. Our kids attended UCA head coach Doug Clark's baseball camp this weekend. I was an awesome experience for the kids as well as us. Reinforced some things I've been teaching kids and I learned a whole lot of new things and ideas.
For those of you my age, you may remember Coach Clark from his days at Arkansas. He was a former assistant of Norm DeBryan's back when he would bring his Razorback camp to Crossett. He sure remembered Crossett, especially the old Tiebel's restaurant. As a matter of fact he is the coach that recruited and signed Mike Loggins.
We had a chance to talk with the coach and he expressed great interest in doing a camp here in Crossett. Hogdog and I hope to make this a reality in the near future.

He said the older kids usually won't come to these camps but he likes to keep it open for any that want to. They had kids 10-16 there this weekend. Got to see a kid from Bryant that ran a 4.9 40 and he was only 15. He was clocked at 82mph.

We need to get the word out to see who all would be interested in attending this camp . He really seemed eager to come back to Crossett. And he has a great staff that will teach the kids all about the game. Although it was in the mid 40's this weekend in Conway, Hogdog and I spent 2 days enjoying a little baseball.
