Good grief look at all of the shut-outs.
Also I bet that this is the first time that Hope has been eliminated in the first round since the state fast-pitch tournament began.

Hope-Alma was a good game.
Monticello flat got it put to them. I bet those folks are sick of us.

Hope-Alma was a good game. Monticello flat got it put to them. I bet those folks are sick of us. Probably no more sick than the Crossett folks are of Marion: •Football, 44-7 loss •Basketball, 67-28 loss •Softball, 9-0 loss All in the same year. Crossett won't be sad to see Marion move up in classification next year (unless it is because of hopes of revenge). The Lady Eagles do OWN Marion in track and field, though. Marion played second fiddle to Crossett for years in that sport.

Thanks DR!!! The softball girls held them 2-0 for 6 innings. They had some errors on short game and just didn't hit the ball. Marion had a good team. Our team had not gotten to play at that level all season.

1st title of any kind in school history!! At least the softball group is a classy group of girls with some good parents and a great coach, if it were the football or basketball teams we would have to listen to the "marion retards(maniacs)"

If it was a contest for the most arrogant fan base, Marion would win hands-down (at least in Class AAAA).
I saw how bad they were in the Class AAAA Basketball Tournament in March. The first Marion student was ejected before Marion even played a single game. And I absolutely loved the fact that Magnolia beat Marion in the semis.

If I understand these classification changes, we won't get the pleasure of their fans. That's right-- I started to say that Marion wouldn't have a shot in heck to win anothe state title in anything, but given that there will be just 16 teams in that classification, I figure that it's going to be a possibility. I'm not sure how proud you can be of your "state" title when there are just 16 teams. Even 32 teams is pretty watered down when you consider that Class AAA has upwards of 64, Class AA has even more than that and Class A had probably around 75 until Act 60 a couple of years ago.
