And if anyone asks if you are a racist, just answer with what I say: "I'm not racist, I hate everyone equally." Knock on wood, that accusation hasn't surfaced yet. Anybody who knows me knows that I'm about as far from racist as anybody could be. I'm more concerned that it would come from somebody who doesn't know me and knee-jerks just because I said anything at all. Some people think that only black people are allowed to begin discussions about race, and only women are allowed to begin discussions about gender. If you're white, you're a racist automatically just for USING the word "black." And if you're male, you're a chauvanist automatically just for using the word "female." Anyone who knows me very well should know that I think the only real enemies are University of Oklahoma fans. |
