i know i am going to register to vote, just to vote for Bailey. i know for a fact the present mayor has really burnt some bridges with alot of people and i my self am not just pleased about how the baseball complex has been ran lately and there has been other voice there opinion on the other problems. I haven't seen him make many effort to try and please the people , i know he is supposed to look out for crossett best interest, but u also have to make the people happy to .

And as far as the Complex .......It's the best around here and you shouldn't down grade the way it being ran just because u have had a run in with Larry and your umpiring duties. I could care less who gets the Mayor job as long as they have the City as a whole as their top concern

If you want to split hairs, Bailey is actually one of the people who runs the complex. He's on the committee that oversees the complex.
IMO the mayor's major liability left town toward the end of last year. The former city engineer would have cost the mayor the election had he not left. The new city engineer is a credit to the city and is an asset to the mayor.
There seems to be one major truth in Ashley County politics. As long as you don't stir up stinks, the people will keep you in office. We saw that played out well a few years back with the whole Sharon Strickland fiasco. Every elected offical in Crossett lost their job in those two years.
The mayor isn't causing problems and is working hard to improve Crossett. I have no doubt Bailey would give his best as well.

As far as me and Larry i chose not to umpire any more in crossett and that was a decision i made because of the fact i believe that the kids around here were not getting treated fairly and thats all i have to say about that situation. As far as that goes what has the mayor done besides listen to the complaints and say he would talk about it. I don't have anything against the Mayor he has always been a nice guy to me. I for one think it is going to be a close race.
