yeah robey is always fast Not this squad. The North squad got everything this year, including an AWESOME Vince Young-esque quarterback. The South squad got nothing and is winless.

Both junior-high teams still are in the Spread, but aren't throwing the football much at all. Good question. Started out this season passing quite a bit but not aren't passing any more than last year or the year before in the Wing T.

well the 8th grade eagles dropped another one last night at watson chapel......defense really hurt us, defensive backs can't seem to catch on......but they are young and have come a long ways since summer practice started and i am proud of them.... the score was 12-6. the 9th grade also lost i believe the score was 12-0.......

Is it just me, or does it seem like our secondary is always a bit of a problem area? In both high school and Jr. High.

Is it just me, or does it seem like our secondary is always a bit of a problem area? In both high school and Jr. High. Actually, Crossett High's secondary was the one area that never was a problem for about four straight seasons. Coaching staff did an excellent job of finding and training cornerbacks especially. Think about it...Brannon Kidd, Cedric Carter, Richie Walton, Coangelo Herman, Martinez Modisett, all of these guys were good defenders. When CHS had Kidd and Carter they had the best two corners in the state, and Carter hadn't even played high-school ball before (neither had Walton). Of course it didn't hurt that in those days, teams in the Southeast weren't passing the football nearly as much as they are now.

that is true but if u want to know what really hurts us is the fact that we useWR as CB also . I mean think about it these kids are running sprints up and down the field all night on both side of the ball cant do that in this conference

Yeah, I've always thought it would be better to play the great players at what they are best at, and then some good players on the other side of the ball so nobody has to play both ways. I think it's probably better in the long run to have some good, rested players than to have great worn out players.

it is crazy to think that any one no matter what kind of condition they are in can do it when the other team doesnt have to do the same thing byt the end of the first half they will be out of juice.
