Good day of baseball for the Crossett teams. The 10 and under team defeated both Hermitage and Camden to advance to bracket play as the top seed. The 12 and under team defeated Stuttgart 6-5, Walker Davis was the winning pitcher and they were led at the plate by Josh Ballard. Ballard belted a 2 run homer over the left field wall. In game 2 Ballard picked up the win as Crossett defeated Bakers Express 11-1. The 10 and under team will be in action again tonight at 7:30 and the 12 and under guys will be in action again tomorrow at 2:50. When I left Monticello the 8 and under team was down 4-1 against Sheridan.

We had a chance to catch one of the 12 & under games Saturday. Since I have spent the last 8 years watching softball, I really haven't seen much baseball - but it was just as much fun! Folks, get out and see these kids - boys & girls both. You will be amazed at the talent.
