We are McFadden Maniacs in this house! That boy can run! Ok, so this morning we were talking about how we think that McFaddin is definitly Heisman worthy, but I wanted to know what everyone else thinks.
BTW, I coud hardly contain myself in that 4th quarter last night! To be an inanimate object, my TV took a verbal lickin' last night.

Maybe next year, lol. He had a career-high last night against SC, I think 214 or 217 yards? Something like that. Like I said though, I don't think anybody is going to take it from Ohio State's QB this year, but he should make a run at it next year.
Yeah, I was just waiting for SC to start coming back on us, and they did. I knew we couldn't run a man-to-man defense against an almost totally passing team. As soon as we switched to the zone, I figured it was over. Now I can't wait until the Tennessee game, don't forget, Tennessee only beat them 16-13, so we didn't do too bad I don't think.

NO WAY does McFadden win it this year, and he shouldn't. I don't care what Marcus Elliott says.
And if you're an Arkansas fan, you don't want him to because that means he's gone. We want him here at least another year.
At this point I'm very concerned about his injury. Coaches are intentionally keeping it hush-hush I think, because they don't want Tennessee to think that he's not going to be back there. Question is, does Arkansas stand a chance next week without McFadden? Can Jones, Smith and possibly Hillis (who also is dinged up) be enough?
I think we've got a much better chance now with the emergence of Casey Dick...legitimate passing attack. Just throw to somebody other than Marcus Monk!!!

Just worthy is all I was saying We definitly want to keep him as long as possible. I am worried about the injuries too. It figures! This is the one game that I will get to go to this year and the Hogs are not going into the best scenario. This will be my first chance to go to Fayetteville, so I looking forward to it, win or lose.

You'll love the trip, if nothing else, if you've never been there.

The environment is unbeatable, especially in a HUGE game against a team like Tennessee. The only game in Fayetteville I've ever been to was Cedric Cobbs' first game as a freshman, I don't remember who they played that day.
Don't forget, Tennessee is also going into this game under some bad circumstances. Their starting QB is injured (he may play, but I don't think he'll be 100%), and they are going into a hostile environment at Razorback Stadium. I think we should just play solid zone defense to defend the pass, and let the D-line handle the QB rush and what little running attack they have. But hey, I'm far from a coach, so we'll see what Herring does.

I just think that we're going to have to see more of Malzahn's offense in this game (more passing downfield, more creative running attack) for Arkansas to win it. McFadden won't be 100 percent probably until LSU.

Yeah, and Michael Grant has to be out for the season, right? I'm not sure that will hurt us all that much, didn't they put Vinnet in to replace him, and he got the possibly game-winning interception?
And I think this SC game was one of the few games this year that we didn't see one of Malzahn's specialty plays, but I'm sure we'll see at LEAST one against each Tennessee and LSU. And it will hurt us if McFadden doesn't play, but even without him, we may still have one of the best rushing attacks in the SEC. Like I said before, Tennessee doesn't really have any form of a running game, so play the zone defense and d-line has to pressure the QB, and I think we'll have it.

Vinnett and Grant don't play the same positions. Kevin Woods replaced Grant.
BTW, there was one trick play called, just didn't go as planned. There was a lateral to Felix Jones, Jones reversed field and then apparently was going to give the ball to Casey Dick (I think McFadden was playing QB on the play). There was too much traffic around Dick and Jones just had to take off running, but I'm guessing that was supposed to be a downfield pass from Dick, had he gotten the football.
