THe following video was sent to me through e-mail and it was an eye opener. Check it out and let me know what your opinion is. dabble.com/node/4184031Before anybody starts in about the uniforms, that is not why I am sharing. I just thought that it adressess the problems that we have with students who wear clothes way to big and pants that sag around the behind.

People don't bring weapons to school in little ol' Crossett, Arkansas. On a side note, I have a problem with kids with a size 28 waist buying size 40+ pants and 2XL and 3XL shirts. I CAN'T FIND ANY AT WAL-MART BECAUSE THESE LITTLE RUNTS HAVE BOUGHT THEM ALL.

That's funny Eddie! I was showing some of my first period students this video this morning and they were shocked, in fact some of them were a little bit scared. I know that alot of students buy their own clothes, but parents need to do a little bit better monitoring what they wear. I see these boys get out of their parents vehicles in the AM with their pants nearly falling off. There is nothing wrong with style of clothes they are wearing, most of them look really nice, but buy something that fits. They are being sent home at least.

If the kids are being sent home for not following the dress code, then the administration is right on target. You send 'em home, then if they do it again, you send 'em home again, and again, until they get the message, or end up in Alpha School or boot camp, or somewhere besides our school. They may as well learn now that that's the way it is in the real world. Take them around to any business in town that doesn't pay minimum wage and see if anyone is stylin' like that. Now, that being said, all of us adults who are aghast at these styles, should break out all of the old high school pictures from the stylin' 6o's, and 70's. Can you imagine the horror of the parents of the summer of love? (Super bell bottoms, skimpy hip huggers, or, shoot, let's just all get naked and play in the mud!). As long as there are parents and kids, the parents are going to be absolutly sure that some of them kids aint got a clue as to how stupid their outfits look. I would imagine that in 30 years, these baggy boys will be talking about their kids, and shaking their heads, and wondering " what can these fools be thinking". Just my opinion.

Two words:
Tight rolls.
Kim knows where I'm coming from on this since we're close to the same age.

I wouldn't have minded at all having to tuck our shirts in when I was in high school. Believe it or not, as a student, I was in favor of the dress code only allowing button-up shirts and polos, and no holes in pants. I guess I'm gettin old lol

It's a club that closes at 8 p.m. and doesn't allow smoking, drinking or loud music.
