Why is there not a 12 and under tournament included this weekend? El Dorado, Hamburg, Dumas, Crossett, Camden, Bastrop, and Monticello would have made for a nice 12 and under tournament. You would have seen some outstanding baseball. Each of these teams bring lots of fans when they play. Hamburg ,Crossett and Dumas probably had combined 150-200 people with them in Monticello. That's $450 -$600 a day that would have been made on gate fees alone. Whoever made the descision not to include 12 and under tournament teams dropped the ball big time!

Seems to me that the kids were never thought about in this .............All about the money I guess

Softball chose to have a separate tournament to raise funds for the batting cages, so all age groups could participate. The Babe Ruth agents for the 11-12, 13-15 age groups perhaps could enlighten on the reason why they are not playing. Also, how can I attach a picture to a message on here?

I can answer for the 11-12's. We were not looking for a tournament for league teams. We wanted a tournament with traveling teams. That is where the money is at. Lot's of potential revenue with that type of tournament. We were lead to believe that this would be for league teams only and were even told there was "no money" in a tournament for our age group. When were told who to contact last week about a tournament there was no time to organize one on the scale we wanted. teams were committed to playing many weeks ago elsewhere. If you are going to plan a tournament enlighten all age groups from day one of your intentions, not 2 weeks before time to play.

Also, how can I attach a picture to a message on here? You need to use a file hosting site like webshots or village photos to store your photo .

Isn't it amazing how much bad info can travel so far and so fast. Better still how good info and the truth never gets repeated. If you want to know if a horse has teeth you have to look in it's mouth! Glad I didn't read this hooey 3 or 4 weeks ago.
