Jeremy Evans got his first start of the season on Sunday in Western Kentucky's 87-69 victory over Tennessee State.
The Hilltoppers now are 3-0 on the young season.
Evans jumped center to open the game. The Toppers started out slowly but then took control with Evans' 16 footer to give them a double-digit lead midway through the first half.
Jeremy finished with eight points (three of six from the floor, two of three from the line), four rebounds and two blocked shots in 17 minutes of play. The WKU starting five (with the exception of All-America candidate Courtney Lee) all played about that same amount, to give the bench some PT and to keep the game from becoming a blowout.
Western will play Towson State tonight.

You just beat me to it. He led all scorers. He also had a dunk waved off on a poorly-called offensive goaltending. That would have made it 20 points.

Love to hear that he's playing just as good as anyone else on the court, if not better. Do either of you know when WKU will play on television? I'd love to get the opportunity to watch him play.

WKU gets most of its airplay on local networks. I'm not sure when or if the Hilltoppers will be on ESPN or the Deuce this season.
