Comments? Predictions? Post 'em here.
I'll start off by saying I think that LSU is better than FLorida at this point, even though I know they got beat by Florida a few weeks ago. I also disregard the Ole Miss game they played last week, because they looked like they were playing the same way we were...not good. My friends dad (a huge LSU fan) predicted the Hogs will win by 14, and that made me feel pretty confident, because he has never said that before as long as I have known him. Also, I think if we handle LSU well, we'll beat Florida. If LSU beats us, the Florida game may not be too fun.

I think this game will go down to the wire. Look for a close one with the Hogs coming out on top 21-17.

If THE HOGS play like they did against Miss State last week its going to be a long day for them. I just hate that Payton H. will most likely sit this game out

I agree. The Hogs didn't bring their A game to last week's game and if they do the same thing tomorrow, LSU will win this one. It's going to be a close one. I'm thinking 21-18 with the Hogs winning

Don't let last week foolanyone. i think the Hogs held back. They did just enough to win. Miss. State held Mcfadden and it appeared the Hogs could do nothing to spring him free. But, my theory is they didn't want to show there hand and let LSU know what they would do if a team stacked the box.

Good theory, Outlaw...and I lean toward agreement with you. I just have a feeling that Gus is going to show us something in this game that we haven't seen before, that none of us will be expecting--that LSU obviously won't be.
The thing that concerns me the most, more than LSU's talent or anything else, is that after the MSU game for the first time all season we heard a sense of "finality" out of the players and coaches. We kept hearing "We're not satisfied" and "one game at a time" after all of the other wins, but after this one they were much more reflective. That attitude coupled with the short week has me concerned that the Hogs might have to battle back to win it in the second half.
Maybe the LR crowd will pump them up enough that they'll play strong from the opening kick, but I have concerns about that.

It is going to be a close game either way.....both teams have a lot at stake. I hope that having the home advantage will give the Hogs the extra edge that they need. I have been to several Little Rock games and have seen the spirit that Hog fans have.
GO HOGS!

Well, I'm about to leave for the game now, and I can assure you I'll be making some noise up there.
I give no credit to last weeks games vs. Ole Miss and Miss. St. either way, because neither team played well, for whatever reasons. I do have confidence in our team, because if you look at the top-25 teams we've both played, Arkansas dominated both teams in a way LSU couldn't even come close to.

No one will doubt the Hogs after today. There's a beatdown coming in just over four hours.

I never dreamed that the passing game would struggle that much.
Anyone who pins those problems on Casey Dick didn't know what he or she was looking at. Dick made maybe one or two poor throws (the interception was a big one, but even that wasn't awful).
The receivers were the problem today. Dick was on-target but everybody dropped at least one pass. Ben Cleveland dropped three.

Yeah, if we had some small sort of passing game today, it would have been a completely different game. Heck, McFadden passed for more yards today than Dick did, I think it was 33 yards vs. 29 yards. The only time I thought they should've taken Dick out and tried Mustain was when he got hit on his play as a receiver, you know...the one with the helmet-to-helmet contact that was an obvious penalty...
But the thing that frustrated me even more than the passing game was the defensive secondary. Pretty much every time LSU was held to a third and long, I expected a huge play from them, because I knew that our defensive strategy was horrible at defending these plays. They ate us up all night on the third and long plays, and those were the game changers in my mind.

You're going to give up some third-and-longs when you're playing so much man defense, but you're right, that was the difference and it was excessive. A lot of the time that's got more to do with the defensive quarterback pressure, though, than the secondary coverage. Those guys up front need to be flailing arms and swatting passes, or dragging the guy to the ground faster. the third and 10 that went for 26 yards...inexcuseable.

no what i dont understand is the fact that we could run teh ball aroudn teh outside all day i mean macfadden just broke one for 80 but no we are going to pass the ball and the thing that really made me mad was when all CD had to do is throw the ball out in forn of macfadden and let him go and get it but no. Then i also dont understand why we didnt run the ball on 4 and 2 no we tried to pass even though CD was 3 for 17 with a int. I am telling i amCD support but he made alot of stuipid decsions yesterday
