I'll start this one off the same way I did the last one..Comments, predictions, whatever, post it here.
I think this is a game that the Hogs can definitely win, and like I said before, I think LSU is tougher than Florida. Florida seems to be a team that can really play good football (like they did against LSU), but can also play some pretty bad football, like they have been lately. They are a very well-rounded team, so a high-scoring shootout may be our best bet to win this game.

Nobody has posted here yet, so I thought I'd add some predictions by the experts. Most have it as a close game with Florida as the winner, but someone (colllegefootball, collegesports.com, something like that) has arkansas as the winner 24-21, so it looks like it could go either way. I also think they are suffering some key injuries like we are.

Most of the predictions i have seen have Arkansas winning by 3. I like Arkansas' chances in this once much better than the LSU game. All depends on how our QB's fair. Look for Mustain to get some playing time this week. There is a good chance if the Hogs lose they will end up in the Cotton. I'd much rather see them in the Sugar.

Hopefully the Hogs will come out on top, but either way, it's been a great season. Nutt talks like Dick will definitely play Saturday, and I'm sure he will, but hopefully he'll get taken out at halftime or something IF he isn't playing well. I think Mustain has more physical ability, but may not be able to read defenses as good as Dick can or something. Mustain definitely gives us the advantage of a deep threat over Dick though, I think anyway.

I'd much rather see them in the Sugar. I read on MSNBC today that an "undisclosed" source leaked that LSU would be in the Sugar Bowl, either playing USC or Michigan. I didn't think that these decisions had been made yet. Anyone else hear or read about this? Here is the link for that story: www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15969953/

LSU cannot be in the Sugar. The winner of the SEC championship receives an automatic bid.

LSU can go to the Sugar Bowl if the SEC champion takes another bowl offer. That's the only way. If Ark or Fla took the Orange Bowl bid, LSU will get the Sugar Bowl.

LSU can go to the Sugar Bowl if the SEC champion takes another bowl offer. That's the only way. If Ark or Fla took the Orange Bowl bid, LSU will get the Sugar Bowl. The champions of the ACC, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-10, and Southeastern conferences will have automatic berths in one of the participating bowls after the 2006 and 2007 regular season. They are obligated to go unless they are in the BCS title game. Then the bowls effected will choose the highest BCS rated team available. This year the Sugar gets first choice. In other words if Florida wins and some vaults ahead of Michigan and USC to the number 2 spot then the Sugar could choose LSU. The question is would they? New Orleans city leaders complained when LSU played for the title a few years ago at the Sugar Bowl. Although they were happy that the Local Tigers were there they belly ached about the lost revenue in hotel and resturaunt sales. right now the New Orleans economy is looking for a boost and having LSU there isn't what they are looking for. Look for LSU to end up in either the Rose or Capital One .

Thanks for the clarification...I knew it didn't sound right.

Wow, what a flip-flop game! I think the turning point was Fish touching the punt and giving FL a touchdown....we just couldn't recover. A dissapointing end to an exciting season. They have a lot to be proud of.

Arkansas wins that game without the single stupidest play in the history of Razorback football.

No doubt about it, Heath. Not only did it give the Gators 7 points, it also gave them the momentum. They probably knew they would win after that play. But since that's over, I wonder who we will play in our bowl game, and what bowl it will be...I seem to remember us performing poorly in the last few bowls, but I tend to remember the bad more than the good, so it may just be me remembering the ones we lost.

The only bowl game that Arkansas really has done well in in my memory was the Cotton Bowl win over Texas in 2000. Arkansas simply hung on to beat Missouri in the Independence Bowl in 2004, looked pathetic in the Holiday Bowl win over Arizona State in 1985 and lost all the rest that I've ever seen.
Prediction time...I fully expect Arkansas to lose its bowl game this year too, to close out the season with three straight losses in typical Razorback fashion.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised. I don't know what it is now, but the Hogs just don't have "it" anymore. Hmm, maybe Mustain gave the team a certain spark or confidence that Dick doesn't? I dunno, but one thing I do believe is that an 8-0 QB should play over a 2-3 QB. I think Nutt uses poor strategy in preparing teams after a break, as in the first game of the year and bowl games, which is why we tend to perform poorly in them. Anyway, I've heard Wisconsin thrown around, and I was just wondering if we knew anything for sure yet.

according to this story: msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/3756322We will face Wisconsin in the Capitol One Bowl. At least we didn't pull a lame one like the Pappajohns Bowl. I have been wondering the last few games... why has Casey Dick been starting over Mustain? Bonehead move if you ask me.

Well, it's out. Florida will play Ohio St., Arkansas plays Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl (formerly Citrus Bowl), USC and Michigan square off in the Rose Bowl, and LSU is back in the Sugar Bowl again.

That was the only fair way to do it.

Yeah, hopefully with all the preparation time, Coach Nutt will go back to Mustain (assuming he's better at this point, which I believe he is). Even if Mustain in fact doesn't make as good decisions as Dick, his record says it all. There's something about him, whether it's his pocket poise, or the way he gets his team motivated, whatever. It makes NO sense to me to start a 2-3 QB over an 8-0 QB. Dick has lost the only three games of the season, I just don't understand. And I also think Mustain has had plenty of time to get ready for college football. Hopefully we will break out of the pattern of poor bowl games this year, #6 Wisconsin is going to be hard to beat.
