The Hilltoppers are playing Tennessee on Fox Spots right now (4:15 p.m.). Check it out.

Commentators speaking highly of Jeremy, talking about what a great pickup he is, being from Arkansas.
He's in double figures in scoring and I don't know that he's missed a shot. No jumpers though, all on putbacks and dunks.
He also has about four boards by my count, and at least one steal.
Good game for Jeremy so far and WKU is down by just five on the road here in the first eight minutes of the second half.

He's had good games against the big teams. I'm tickled for him.

He ended up with another perfect night from the field, six for six, finished with his first-ever double-double (13 pts and 10 boards), also had three steals.
And he had a career-high 36 minutes played, the most of any player on his team.
Eddie, if he can string together three or four games like this during conference play, and stay in the rotation of seven or eight, he really might be up for SunBelt Freshman of the Year...definitely on the All-Freshman Team, if the SunBelt has one. I don't know how many freshman are even going to get those kinds of minutes.

You never know, though...one of those other SBC schools might have a freshman as its leading scorer. What's going to help Jeremy out as much as anything else in that regard is that Western most likely will win the regular-season conference title, and might even sweep the SunBelt without a loss.

Man, I looked and looked for that game, and never found it (on satellite). I've been wanting to see Jeremy play on television. I kept hoping they were going to show highlights from the WKU vs. Tennessee game on one of the ESPN's, but I never saw it. They kept showing the same things over and over, from the same couple of games. Oh well, maybe next time.

You probably didn't see it on satellite because you get a different version of Fox Sports on there. Although I thought that the game was picked up by all of the FSN affiliates, which is why we got to see it here even though we normally don't.

Look at the students' face there a few rows up. He wouldn't get that kind of reaction here. Certainly didn't in high school. BTW, WKU lost its conference opener tonight at home by a point, a real heartbreaker.
