Please----- Y'all tell "Hogdog" to stop butter-ing me up, I'm pushing for a coaching clinic also! But Ed U cannot ban "tookus" that is a clean-symbolic word that is easily recognizable! LOL Hogdog wants to put on an eating clinic. just as long as it's not a long drive home after the clinic so when I feel that urge.................lol....................lol

Also cool with ME, we run it in conjunction with the Ump clinic and I will personally sponsor Dennis Maxwell and Dan McGhee! They are Polar opposites! Maxx is slow, steady dedicated consumption enthusiast. McGhee is more like a ravenous dog (weighing about 1260). In fact I plan on escorting these EATERS to the "BIG TEXAN" in Amarillo Texas at some point in time for them to eat the "BIG TEXAN" a 72 oz-Steak, baked potato-salad & shrimp cocktail in less than an hour & I bet they BOTH get their pics on the "WALL OF GLUTTONS"! lol btw - ORLANDO would beat both but he is allergic to SHRIMP/seafood and cannot participate! Cause I checked the SC is a deal breaker!

Remember Campbell called Ingram B4 the playoff game in 2002 to congratulate T on a great run, but Crossett really wasn't in the same class or league or level with Wynne because Wynne had a winning tradition that Crossett was in search of! Long trip home with your TAIL between your legs wasn't it? Actually I never got around to telling DR that Campbell did that. That's the most intense I've ever seen Teodis Ingram. He couldn't believe that Campbell would pull a stunt like that. His words were basically, "You've had a good run, but it ends tonight." You could have cussed T's wife and he wouldn't have been anymore angrier.

You know I don't think we will ever get the entire truth from either side. I'm reading today how Beck Campbell is the one that pushed for the release. That Malzahn bolted because he already knew that Nutt was bringing Lee as co-coordinater. Gus was offered a $30,000 a year raise. Makes one believe tha talex wood was the one headed out. ESPN states that Woods status is unclear at this time, per Nutt. He is still on the staff but in a diminished capacity. Which leads me to believe had Arkansas gotten Lee last year they may still have offered Gus the recievers job. Here is a very interesting story by Harry King. www.arkansasnews.com/archive/2007/01/18/HarryKing/339673.html

Hly crappola!! This thing gets better and better. Now I'm reading Mustain is really torn about leaving Arkansas and is going to return. Seems David Lee held private QB sessions with him in high school and has a strong relationship with the family. Is all this true? Only time will tell.

Keep in mind that I went to Arkansas State ....therefore I am not a huge Frank Boyles fan to start with. Historically, FB has done everything he can to subdue any other college football programs in the state....whether they were AIC, Div. 1, or Div. 2 schools, .... I do like to see the Razorbacks win....but, to watch FB on Channel 7 news act like the only thing he knows is what he has read in the newspaper.....please, give fans (and even himself) more creidt than that. After all is said and done......college sports is a money driven entertainment business. I will have to say that I have been entertained this week.

You never heard about that? Uh, no. When would I have heard that? Also, where was the original post? I found your quote of it, but not the original post...couldn't even find what post he was replying to. I'm totally lost.

In 2003 on the morning of the Wynne/Crossett playoff game, Coach Campbell called Coach T and more or less told him, "You've had a good run, but we're coming down there in a little bit and put an end to it." That fired T up. Honestly, I think it fired the whole team up.

I don't believe that that ever happened, at least not in that way. Don Campbell is one of the most respected high-school football coaches in state history, and he's respected for his great sportsmanship. It's difficult for me to imagine that he'd do anything like that.
Sounds to me as though there was a misinterpretation of what really was spoken, or that this simply was a story concocted to fire up a team.
Either way, I'm shocked that I've never heard about it until now.

It happened. More than one coach has told me about it. Yeah, but wouldn't they be going just on what THEY were told?

This is the first I have heard of this little phone call, and I was part of the team. Unless this was told to the team in a closed door meeting, (which I doubt happened) The team was not told about it. Plus, I am pretty sure that I would have caught wind of it after we beat them, seeing as the guys would be bragging about it. Anyways....I am just saying that I don't think this was told to the team to pump them up before the game...not that it didn't happen at all, just that it wasn't used to pump up the guys.

Gees Heath, Eagle Club Western Sizzlin' Friday noon, day of the playoff vs. Wynne! Eddie correct me if I'm wrong, but we were all there! I was still doing stats, McGhee, Robbie, Orlando, obviously Dennis & Pollyanna, and HEATH? Hope Em was correct that T didn't use it in the locker-room. But knowing T, I have no doubt The General said it.

It didn't happen then. I was there for that meeting and he did not speak of it then. Might have been immediately before or immediately after, but this never was spoken anywhere where I was listening, or I would remember it and probably would have quoted him on it.
Only issues involving other coaches that I recall are an incident with Robert Day after the Magnolia game in 2004 and one with Jim Withrow after the Mills game in 2002.

It Happened, Period! Don't know what to do to jog your memory, but it was all anyone there that day could talk about that afternoon or later that evening in the Press Box, especially after the WIN over WYNNE!
