I meant to post this last night, but in case anybody happens to be on the board in the next hour and a half, Jeremy Evans and WKU are playing against Middle Tennessee on ESPN2 right now. Tipped off at 1 p.m. today, Saturday.

Evans had another good game...11 points, nine boards, four blocked shots, three steals, perfect from the floor again. He went down for a few minutes with another ankle aggravation but came back and scored a couple of times late, including an alley-oop dunk.
Commentators had a lot of good to say about him (although the color guy called him "Jerry" instead of "Jeremy" a few times), including how the NBA scouts who were there to see Courtney Lee probably jotted down a few notes about him, too.
Obviously he's nowhere close to NBA form yet, but in another three years...maybe.

I caught the very end of that game, but didn't really get to see him play...WKU was basically playing keep-away by the time I realized he was on TV. Any clue when they will be on television again?

Won't be, not where you can see it. Unless you drive to Kentucky to watch.
I guess there might be some slim chance that if ULM keeps on winning and they end up facing Western in the SBC Tournament, that KNOE might carry that game.
Playing in the Sun Belt isn't like playing in the SEC. Even a regional TV appearance is rare. Western had just two widely-televised games this season.
But I'll tell you this...they love some Jeremy Evans in Bowling Green.

I was thinking that exact thing last night. I'm sure they're ecstatic about things down in Monroe now. They aren't ecstatic in Bowling Green. WKU is a tradition-rich program and losing 10 games doesn't sit well with the fan base.
I'm not sure how Jeremy would be used at ULM. I'm not familiar enough with how the coach operates. I know that Western beat ULM this year, by the ridiculous score of something like 105-103. Apparently neither program emphasizes defense.
What gets me is that you look at Western's athleticism and would think that this team could dominate defensively with pressure defense, either in the full-court or with half-court traps, but it just hasn't happened. Horn isnt' much of a defensive coach apparently.

Anyone know what the Hilltoppers final record was? And are they looking at a change to get into the NCAA tournament?

Anyone know what the Hilltoppers final record was? And are they looking at a change to get into the NCAA tournament? They won 86-81, they play Arkansas state tonight at 9pm on ESPN PPV. Evans had 5 rebounds and 9 points in 31 minutes of playing time.

Oh okay, I figured their season was probably over like Arkansas'. I believe their current record is something like 22-10, so even if they lose against ASU, isn't it possible for them to make the NCAA tournament? Also, I found this- the top 10 WKU plays of the season. #9 is my favorite ;D www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1pN5SZ05b4

If WKU wins tonight they will play for the Sunbelt Tournament championship Tuesday night. A win there puts them in the Big Dance. Their chances are pretty good to win the tourney and make the Dance.

Western loses to A-State tonight and the natives are restless in Bowling Green, as they have been ever since conference play began (with a loss).

If anyone is an ASU fan, they play on ESPN2 tonight I think, vs. North Texas.
