How about the baseball Hogs taking 2 of 3 games in the series with #1 Vanderbilt this weekend? They are really starting to look better and better. I actually think they have the potential to go all the way, since they can obviously compete with (and beat) the top teams in the country.

Man I am not happy about this weekend. I had tickets and had to let them go because I have 7 12 hour days!!!!

Haha, how about that for bad luck huh? Not to make you feel bad or anything, but you had the opportunity to watch the Hogs take 2 of 3 against the #1 team in the nation...shame...just think about how great that would have been to watch...especially with the record-setting attendance all weekend, I bet that crowd was rocking for a baseball game lol.

the real sad part of the whole deal is...if not for a ball lost in the sun that produced a 3 run inside the park home run the hogs would swept all 3

Yeah, that's very true. Other than that one play, we really outplayed Vandy all weekend.

If anyone would like to know how the Razorbacks are doing in baseball, here are the three scores from this weekend, when they swept Tennessee. 6-2 4-3 11-7 The diamond Hogs are ranked #7 right now I believe, but they should move with the next update of the rankings after this weekends performance.

Arkansas lost to Misssissippi State tonight, I think the score was 11-9. They mounted a little rally in the 9th inning, but weren't able to put enough points up to take it to OT or win. Also, Nick Schmidt (who was supposed to start as pitcher tonight) sprained his ankle yesterday, but they are hoping to have him back by Sunday. Hopefully we can win the Saturday and Sunday games.

Razorbacks dropped another one to Mississippi State today, lost a VERY low scoring game. The final today was 2-1. Hopefully Schmidt can play tomorrow, and we can pull off one win in the series at least. Mississippi State is probably going to move up quite a bit in the rankings, after ending our 5 game win streak and at least taking 2/3 in the series, if not a sweep.

Arkansas beat #10 Wichita State last night easily, by a score of 10-2. I think the Razorbacks are now 33-11 or something like that, and with a good weekend vs. Auburn (last place in the SEC West), will move up from our current #7 spot.

Hogs are ranked as high as 4 in some polls. Van Horn needs to keep them winning so the regional seeding will be in top 4 or 8.

Seems like I heard we may be able to 'host' a regional or something in Fayetteville, is that still a possibility if we keep winning? And our pitching is incredible. From top to bottom, it seems like even the guys I've never heard of are on fire.

The Hogs beat Auburn by a score of 12-1 yesterday, but Auburn rallied today to win 11-9. I'll try to post tomorrow's score some time tomorrow night.

Arkansas took the series today with an 8-1 win. They went 3-1 overall this week, with one win vs. Wichita State (#10), two at Auburn, and the one loss also at Auburn.

The Hogs have dropped their past two series, to LSU and Alabama (neither of which are all that good), 2 games to 1. I think a major part of it is our "ace" pitcher Nick Schmidt getting in a nasty little rut here late in the season. Duke Welker wasn't lighting up the Crimson Tide today either, though. Our best pitcher right now seems to be Jess Todd, who is looking better and better each weekend.

Guess who will be in Fayetteville this weekend for Saturday's UA vs. Ole Miss game? ...... PoppaEagle and a car load. If it's televised.......look for us in section 118......I'll be wearing a red shirt.

Unfortunately, the game won't be televised lol. I can't wait to listen to the games though, Schmidt said that he just has minor mechanical problems that will be worked out by this series. Let's hope that is true, because if it is, I believe we still have a chance at a home super regional.

Lost to Ole Miss today 5-4, so there's pretty much little to no chance of us getting a home super regional. I didn't listen to the game, so I don't know how Schmidt did, I just heard the score. Hopefully we can still salvage the regular season with two wins and a series win over Ole Miss, and not end the regular season on a losing note like football did.

The Razorbacks lost 2 of 3, again, this week to Ole Miss. Conference tournament starts Wednesday, and we are teh #2 seed behind Vandy I think. I also think we play Alabama in our first game, but I'm not sure on that, because I haven't seen a bracket or anything like that.

Good News - We were at the Hog Game Satuday at Baum Stadium. Bad News - We were in Section 118 Good News - We were next to the hot tub. Bad News - The hot tub was occupied by group of 10 year olds at their best buddy's birthday party.....practicing their canon balls. Good News - The seats were comfortable. Bad News - They face the outfield. That far down the left field line....you get a crick in your neck...looking over your shoulder at home plate. In fact, for two innings, I watched the game behind the back of the 6'5" guy beside me who chose to lean forward the entire time to watch the game. Good News - You could wander freely around the concourse. Better News - You could find a better seat to view the game with a great view.- including the cheer girls on top of the dugout. Good News - The food was good at the ball park. Bad News - 3 hot dogs and 3 soda's cost $19.50 Good News - There were lots of hits. Bad News - By Ole Miss. More Bad News - Ole Miss scored five times....Hogs didn't score any. Good News - It was great time remembering the CHS Eagles playing for the State Championship here last year. Better News - It would be fun to see CHS at Baum again next year. It could happen!
