These may be hard for some of the younger ones but then again some of the older ones may have trouble too. What former Crossett Eagle once held a world record in track and field? Who did he run for and what was the event? What former Crossett Eagle earned 5 All American honors in college and what college did he earn them at?

Off the top of my head I come up with Chris Phillips, who was a short-distance hurdler. Ran the 110 and 400 hurdles. I don't know that he ever had a world record but he did hold the top time in the world in the 110 for about half of a season several years ago.

Might take some digging for you to get the first 2.

Phillips also went to Arkansas, I believe, but for some reason I have it in my head that he had a connection to UALR.
As I recall Karl Salb may have been on that level as a thrower, although I'm not sure if it was in shot or disc.
Crossett High School's track and field history is just phenomenal and it's too bad that the sport stopped being a priority. Just since I've been here the Eagles and Lady Eagles have had at least seven Division I signees in track and field. By comparison, there have been three in football, two in basketball and none in baseball, softball, tennis or golf.

A hint for the trivia challenged. This athlete came through Crossett in the mid 80's and is a current state high school record holder. For bonus points what event does he hold the record in?

Robert Bradley---ran 880 for Hogs and had world class speed. CORRECTAMUNDO!!! Congrats you have won first prize! See jwh for a can of unused belly paint. Seems Heath has fallen off the wagon and won't be needing it. Robert was part of the Arkansas distance medley relay team that set a world record in the 1989 Penn Relays. The record still stands today as an American Collegiate record. Robert also still holds the 800m state record for Arkansas High schools. that record is 22 years old. He also holds one of the ten best all time 800m times in Razorback history.
