Dress Code

Well, it has happened again! An announcement was sent home in the Eagle folder on Wednesday (Sept. 5th) asking parents to make sure their child is following the dress code. It seems as though Anderson Elem. is having a bit of a problem with sagging pants. Go figure! I am asking ALL parents, grandparents, and guardians of students in the Crossett School District to PLEASE follow the dress code. If it becomes too much of a problem, we will be FORCED to conform to the uniform policy again. Frankly, I do not want to revisit that issue again! Remember, it was parents and citizens who worked very hard to do away with the uniform policy and give back the right to students to wear street clothes to school. At least be grateful enough to make sure your children are dressed according to the dress code!

I can't see that the uniform policy ever will return in our lifetime regardless of the violations, because a student can violate the uniform policy just as easily. It makes no logical sense to conclude that the answer to broken rules is to add more rules to enforce. Enforce the ones that are in place.

Either that or worry about bigger problems.
