Norman Junior High cheerleading tryouts will be held on March 3. Crossett High School tryouts will be held on March 17.
They have about a week of prep time to learn the required routines before the tryouts are held.
Judging is done by an out-of-town panel of Universal Cheerleading Association-certified judges, placed by UCA. Neither those trying out, nor the sponsors, nor anyone else associated with the school, knows ahead of time who these judges will be. They show up just before the tryouts and leave right afterwards.
Selections are based solely on the scores of these judges. The score sheets are not handled by the sponsors, but by a third party who tabulates the scores and posts the names of the squad members.

Never got the new junior high squad members' names, but the 2006-'07 high-school squad members are Breana Bryant, Briana Brookings, Caitlin McCay, Randi Grider, Keena Dickey, Tandria Smith, K.J. Williams, Brooke Davis, Brittani Jackson, Mallory Spurlock, Juli Grant and Olivia Gibbs.

I was hoping that she'd stay away. She comes into my office four or five times a day as it is. "Give me this!" "Let me have that!" "Do this for us!" Demand, demand, demand. One time, and I'm a little frightened to say this, but she actually threatened to punch me in the face when I asked to borrow back a picture CD that I had given to her earlier.
And don't even get me started about that other chick who comes in with her--geez!

This is sort of OT but the Eaglettes this next year are going to have almost as much height as the boys' basketball team. I'm not even kidding. There are probably three on there in the 5-10 range and another five or six who are 5-7 and better.
