STATE TOURNEY AT MAGNOLIA!

I haven't been able to confirm this as of yet, but someone on Fearless Friday is reporting that Magnolia High won the bid to host the AAAA State Tournament.

That's awesome. Although it is far from being a home floor for the Crossett Eagles, they are familiar with the arena and the area, and the best thing of course is that it's less than two hours away from here. That's going to save a lot of money and a lot of time, and Eagle fans actually will be able to show up in large numbers. And I might actually be able to attend!

UPDATE: It's confirmed. I just got word from the AAA office. Fantastic!

It's about time the southern half of the state got that tourney!

The last time that it was held south of Little Rock was in 1999 when it was in Pine Bluff. The other years that I've lived here, it always was somewhere in the West.
