It's now pretty much common knowledge so I guess we can go ahead and say this openly in case there's someone who doesn't know. At the next school board meeting Mrs Warren will be recommending the hiring of three new assistant coaches for the football team. It's my understanding that they will be joining the current assistants. If anyone is retiring or leaving, someone will correct me in following posts. The three new coaches will be Greg Johnson as Offensive Coordinator, Mark King on defense, and John Sprawls to help coach running backs and WR's. Getting Greg Johnson as OC is huge for Crossett. We really will have a quality staff with the men we already have in place being joined by these men. Coach Ledford told me that he was told to put together a great staff and that is what he is going to do.

Sounds like Crossett is ready to move forward. Good to know that she has given the head coach some leadway to develope a solid program.

Wow, that sounds great! looks like our administration is finally getting serious about this. I'd have never guessed that we'd get Greg Johnson as an OC- I wonder if he could go somewhere else as a HC after one year with us?

That's what I figured- I was thinking he may have taken this job because he didn't have time to go look for a HC job for next year, being so late in the year- which would open the possibility of him searching next season. But since he's from here and all, do you think he may stay put?

His son must have transferred from Hamburg to Crossett during the job switch, correct?

His son must have transferred from Hamburg to Crossett during the job switch, correct? At semester, pretty sure.
