Thanks ANO for showing up for the last game of the state tournament. thanks for writing an article full of errors about the game. Austin Keith hit a 3 RUN HOMER followed by a 2 RUN HOMER by Josh Outlaw. Where were you during the district tournament and the first 3 games of state? Must have been a swim meet somewhere!!!!! GOOD JOB ANO WE ARE REALLY PROUD OF OUR "LOCAL" PAPER. NOT!!!!

ANO hasn't been the same since Steve Sanders left. Even though he wasn't the "sports editor" you could count on him to have Crossett covered on whatever sporting event was going on. Maybe we ought to rally to see if we can convince him to come back.

I AGREE THE LEDGER PUTS MORE IN THEIR PAPER ABOUT CROSSETT SPORTS THAT ANO EVER THOUGHT ABOUT DOIN!!!!!! The last time I checked, the only Crossett game the Ledger covered from the tournament was the one where Hamburg trounced them 12-1. That said, if one was reading only the Ledger, at this point they still wouldn't know how the tournament ended for Crossett. For that matter, said Ledger reader still wouldn't know the outcome of the Hamburg-Junior Deputy game. No, all they would have would be a story and collage of photos featuring Hamburg destroying Crossett. With Q-Lite leaving on Monday night at the end of the Crossett game and the editor for the Ledger not showing up until the start of the Hamburg game, ANO was the only media organization to cover both the Crossett and Hamburg game that night.

I think u need to go make and read what she wrote..........she was talking about The Ledger writing about Crossett sports in general compared to the CRAPPIE Crossett paper {ANO}

ANO may have covered both but it sure was amazing that the reporter took notes and then wrote a story with so many errors. Explain to my son why he wasn't given credit for hitting a homerun. Explain to all of us how another player hit a homerun then 2 batters later hit another. I used to look forward to reading the paper, now it just turns my stomach.

I am always amazed about how much football is in the newspapers (not football bashing as it is my favorite sport!). In the spring, the softball girls were wiping out the competition all season long, and got a couple small mentions until the very end when they went to state. Baseball was covered even less. If the Portland report can go in that paper every week since I have lived in Crossett (18 years), then I fail to see why school and league sports cannot be covered completely and accurately. Puleeze!
