Ok guys not trying to start anything here. i just want to know what KAGH's plans are for the broadcast this fall. All we know is they got it and what they are paying. What we want to know is who will be doing the play by play, will there be a color person, a sideline reporter? Will they continue with Eagle Club and honor the athletes each week. Lay it on us KAGH! You got the broadcast rights back ,now impress us!

Impression? I guess give them a chance. We had 2 volunteers announcing for us. Jon & Jim did a good job with it. Don't know if we will have the same 2 or not this year, we'll have to see. That may be something to look at is having some volunteers broadcasting that really show their feelings about the game and being enthusiastic to keep a good listening audience in the game as well. I'll agree with one thing, it will definitely be different. Q-Lite has done a good job in the past, and KAGH will have some rather large shoes to fill. I do hope the radio coverage is better than the ANO coverage though.

Another question is who will be on 104.9 and who will be on 102.7?

The radio said the other day that Crossett was on 104.9 and Hamburg was on 102.7.

I'd also like to know if we will be able to listen online, if anyone connected to KAGH knows. If not, I'll try getting their email from the website and ask them.

How fast we forget. It was KAGH that covered football for 3 decades, then after a few years, they have big shoes to fill. I am sure the play by play will be up to par. I can remember Kevin Medlin and "ring it up baby", but I do enjoy Jim and Jon. I am told Ronnie Currie, and maybe Kevin will do the eagles. I do know this, KAGH will welcome any input you have about the eagles. I know they are thinking about a Thursday night call in show, if you think it will go. Featuring the lions and the eagles. KAGH and KWLT wants to be sure that Hamburg and Crossett are represented. You can email Kevin and kagh@alltel.net or call him up. I enjoyed ronnie currie and the coverage they gave to the Hamburg 12 year old baseball team. I am sure football will be fine. And as always they will carry the hogs, lsu, the cards and nfl football. Oh in case you wondered, I am close to some of the people at the station, so I know they appreciate any input.

Oh yes. It is my understanding that Crossett will be on the net, and plans are underway to have Hamburg on the net as well.

A Thursday night show would be great IMO, and it will be great if I can listen to my Eagles on the nights I can't make it back to Arkansas.

But I also can't forget the coverage we have gotten from Q-Lite the last few years. Having the sideline reporter was a nice addition. I think they went the extra mile to make it enjoyable to listen to the broadcast. The Eagle club on fridays to honor the scholar athlete and player of the game was a great idea that I hope can be continued. The thursday nite idea at Andy's sounds good. What about a pregame tailgate show? As for ronnie I've known him since we were in peewee baseball. Have no problem with him at all. Don't want anyone to think I do.

I don't think anyone has a problem with KAGH, it is just the fact of what Dennis Maxwell and Q-Lite have done to support Eagle Athletics, the entire school system and our community...Q-Lite is MUCH more than just a radio station.

Andys, this past week, committed a chunk of change to be a sports sponsor on KAGH and KWLT. I don't see paying for ten plus remotes a possibility. Now if there is another plan, I'll listen for sure and can make it happen yesterday.

I'd just like to see or hear a good pregame and postgame show carried. Scores from around the area. I like what is carried in LA. Postgame reports from around the state. I know this is asking alot. I just want KAGH to understand that there is an air of excitement surrounding eagle football this season. It's a new era.

Q-lite is leaving some big shoes to fill. Larry Cantley has made my job a first class endeavor on friday nights for at least 10 years. When I walked in the press box, Larry had the starting lineups, the officials names, the opening remarks, (some of 'em), and any other little tidbit he thought I might could use, laid out for me in front of my chair. You knew him and Dan Mcghee would be there, every friday night, with a load of BS that a train trailor car couldn't tote. We have had a blast. Dennis, the consumate professional, always polished, and busy, getting all his ducks in a row with pre-taped interviews and such before the game. Orlando just eatin',,,,,just kidding Lando. We've had some great nights, and those guys are sure gonna be missed. And now we welcome Ronny Currie into the press box. Ronny does a fine job as a sports reporter, and play by play. I've known Ronny since he was in the first grade. Him and his brother, and sisters used to fight onto the bus, in the bus, and off of the bus, every day that they went to school. When you ride the bus with someone for that many years, it's like being kin. Ronny brings with him, the memory of Charlie Parks, KAGH sports radio man for many years. I can't wait for some football boys. Here's to a good year.

We all know Ronnie will give his all to the EAGLE Broadcast, I wish him God Speed, Good Luck & Much Success. I also really appreciate all of eaglesvoice's kind words, I always thought that was what bud's & friends did was help each other out? But I do stand by my earlier post, KAGH does have some HUGE shoes to fill since Max & Q-Lite have raised the bar so high! Lets not forget that for 7 glorious years Max was the color man for Charlie Parks at KAGH! So for at least 13 of the last 16 years D Max has consistently broadcast the Eagles for the Eagle Nation. During that 3 year period prior to Q-Lite winning the broadcast rights there was a void in that Press-Box that none of us at the time could put our finger on at the time! But I know it lifted when Max, Polly, Orlando & Jeff showed up to do the broadcast. Suddenly being in that booth SWEATING together & working in support of the EAGLES was fun again! That's what I will probably miss the most! I'm sorry but K Med's "CH-Ching-Ring -it-UP BABY " never had the Magic for the Eagle broadcasts as it had had on the Saturday morning re-broadcast of the Lions had! That was super, even die hard Eagle fans got up on Saturdays to listen to the Lion broadcast! 3 decades of KAGH means squat in the world we live in today! What have U done for me lately is what most listeners will ask, but they will listen & they will support their EAGLES! Nuff Said - Subject now closed for me! Feel free to argue amongst yourselves!
