Hey guys, I just made it back to Crossett for the weekend and read in a news paper I saw laying around the house that we had a new basketball coach coming in. Anyone know anything about him? Glad to see what I consider to be necessary changes being made.

I doubt you were alone in feeling like that. I heard from players that his practices were lackadaisical and he didn't seem to care much in his last few years. I think I read the new coach was something like 47-12 at his last job, that's just the kind of thing we need here.

From what I've been told the new coach has been very successful at his previous schools. A little off the subject but did anyone notice the new hire at the High School? Former Eagle Sirl Wright has been hired as special ed teacher at the CHS and as a coach. It just keeps getting better.

ah cool, I didn't know that. Good to see people coming back and working for the school they went to.

We needed an overhaul like the U OF A. And another thing is and its a darn shame, that we have so many gifted athletes in Crossett but are in the streets. I live in Little Rock and havent lived in Crossett for quite a while but it kills me when i go home to see such talent going to waiste.

Hopefully new coaches will generate new excitement in athletics and get some kids back into sports. It's apparently working in football, our numbers there seem to be up by a large margin.
