But just spreading the word a bit, that Hamburg 12 year olds are playing for a championship title tonight @ 8PM in Leveland, Tx. KAGH is carrying it. So far they still remain unbeaten. We in Hamburg are proud of these kid's accomplishments as I feel like that our friends in Crossett are as well. I won't make it a habit bragging on Hamburg on this site, cause we really don't have too much to brag about right now, but this needed to be reckonized. I will delete this thread, if needed, in a few days if someone doesn't do it before hand.

South Lexington KY also had a team make it out of pool play into bracket play in the 12/70 in Aberdeen MY last year also. I also saw a 13 year old team from there a few years ago at the WS in Pine Bluff. Stout Program without the paid coaching staffs of the old Metiare (sorry for the spelling) LA (JPRD -East) that up until last year had a team in every series I worked and won the 13, the 14 & the 15 WS in 2005 and their 16's finished 2nd. also in 2005. In 2006 the new LA State Commish ended that reign by forcing them to choose all star teams and stop paying the coaching staffs to coach. I imagine Hamburg can play with anyone in Martin TN this year!

Just a little information....Logan Morris has a torn rotator cuff and will not be able to pitch or play shortstop during the World Series. He will be playing first base. He will have another MRI done in about 3 weeks and hopefully the tear will heal on its on. Good Luck to the Hamburg 12 year olds.

Hamburg wins a close one 1-0 over the Tennessee state champ in extra innings. Nate Wooten game MVP walked 1, gave up 3 hits, and struck out 13 in 6 innings. Conner Callaway picks up the win in the extra inning. Heres a link to the Martin TN website. www.crwsmartintn.org/index.html

Well Dad-Gum-It, my hat is still off to the Hamburg 12's I believe they represented Hamburg, Ashley County, South Arkansas and the Southwest Region of Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken Baseball rather well! They may have only won 1 game in pool play. But they played with pride and took their loses with quite dignity from all reports I've gotten from the site. Look for Kenniwick WA or S. Lexington KY (out of Hamburgs pool) to face S. Daytona FL in the final Thursday! Those are my picks and they are all very strong programs. I also hear the team from DE was pretty strong but they lost last night to FL!
