Thursday kicks off the season for the Jr. Eagles as they play host to the Jr. Lions. Everyone get and support these guys in their version of the Ashley Bowl. Game time is 7pm for the 9th grade. The 8th grade will start around 6pm.

I talked to the jr. high coach in Hamburg, and he said they are thinking about moving it to Saturday. That was at about 5 PM.

Hamburg won both. 14-6 in the 8th grade game and 8-0 in the 9th. I didn't get to go because was at the Hog game so I don't have many details. My oldest plays for the 9th and he said there were lots of penalties for both sides. I do know hamburg 9th scored their points after a Crossett fumble at their own 30.

i was at the game and it wasnt hard for them to plan on how to stop the offense they just had to stop orlando he got 85% of the touches which isnt a bad thing cuz he is dangerous every play but they just knew that he would get the ball almost play and was ready for it .

The 8th grade coaches did a better job of mixing up the plays and ball carriers, and they didn't look too bad for a first game. Ctownvillian is right on with the 9th grade - it wasn't too hard for Hamburg to figure out the offense. At the very end, Crossett started mixing it up a little, but it was too late then. The last play of the game was a good one! I have a few pictures of the game but cannot figure out how to post them on here!

I also talked to a player after the game and told him that if wanted to watch the game he needs to pay 5 like the rest of us and buy a ticket. I seen many times when players would stop chasing if the play was going the opposite way. I know that a player that makes a tackle on the oppisit side of the field is giving 100% every play.
