Every since Friday night there hasn't been much said so i thought i would break the ice. Well not the game i expected it would be that is for sure but we did improve in my eyes SLIGHTLY. Our OL looked a little better(but hamburg wasn't very big either) and our WR got open way more just couldn't every seem to get them and the QB on the same page to connect for anything big. I will say this though Hamburg has a heck of a QB coming up cuz Gage pretty much brought life back to the team when he went in and stared connecting passes and running the ball for a Sophomore he will be a force to be reckoned with in the following years for CHS.

I think alot of pressure was on the field Friday night, probably more on Crossett's side of the ball than Hamburg's. Now that the game is over, I think that everyone can get down to some football, that is if we can keep Rice in at taking snaps. Sounds like some on FF, think that McGehee may have already won this Friday night. Ya'll may need to get their attention early in the game. Good luck to both Ashley County teams for the remainder of the season, it still remains to be an interesting year.

I will get hate e-mails for this but I am going to say it anyway. Had the Hamburg coaches used the same play calling for Jack Pruitt that they used for Gage Rice, the results would have been the same. The several QB draws served to open up the Eagle defense a little. Pruitt didn't get those calls as much and the Hamburg O-line was dominated the whole frist half. They did not begin to get any push on the Eagle d-line until after Rice came into the game. All that being said, the only things that allowed Hamburg to even score were Eagle turnovers. The defense did a great job, IMO. I expect the Eagle offense to continue to improve and I expect the Eagle defense to continue the intensity they plaed with for most of the game. Honestly, it's been a while since I've seen the defensive intensity we saw in the first half and I liked it alot.
