I think everyone is excited about it, some more than others , just haven't got in the excitement of things yet. Personally, I have not much to get excited about on this side of the county.

I heard the numbers were down over there this fall. Crossett's are up but not up to what I was expecting.

Are we expecting to field a pretty good team this year? I'll be at the Hamburg vs. Crossett game if nothing else. Where will that one be this year?

Expectations are higher for sure and the possibility of the best year since 2003 is really good. The conference will be strong on the top side with Watson Chapel and West Helena being really good, but the Eagles have a real chance to do great things. We just do not need 8 weeks of rain this fall like we had last year. They need a fast field and good blocking. There'll be more speed than a Fountain Hill Meth Lab on the field this year.

That's awesome to hear Eddie. I'm shocked more people in Crossett aren't talking about the upcoming season- to say that it could be the best since the 2003 season, that's a lot to live up to!

HEY, WE ARE EXCITED! AND I HEAR OTHERS TALKING ABOUT THE SEASON, TOO. IF WE CAN STAY HEALTHY AND HAVE SOME BLOCKING, WE HAVE THE SPEED TO GET DOWNFIELD. I'M EXCITED TO SEE ORLANDO AND MAREKUS ON THE SAME TEAM AGAIN. PLEASE TELL ME MAREKUS HASN'T MOVED BACK TO HAMBURG!?!

I'd love to hear if anyone knows if he's going to play for Crossett or Hamburg as well.

MAREKUS BREWER...HE AND ORLANDO ARE BOTH JUNIORS THIS YEAR. HE CAME BACK TO CROSSETT IN JANUARY. AT LEAST I SAW HIS NAME ON A LIST OF STUDENTS. HOPE IT'S TRUE. OF COURSE WE HAVE OTHER KIDS THAT ARE FAST TOO BUT I REMEMBER THOSE TWO FROM JR HIGH.

Marekus is playing for the Eagles again. Check your private messages. Another exciting player to watch is going to be junior, Quay Brown. Very hard runner with good speed.

I have one more expectation, well more of a wish than an expectation. It is my wish that when the clock starts to start the second half of the Crossett/Hamburg game, it doesn't stop again because the Eagles are up by 35 or more points.

I will tell ya who is going to be the most valuable player that no one ever talks about a bunch...... Jeffery Barrnett was a force in his JR. year i am really excited to see how much he has improved and learned going into his senior year.

Do Robinson, Brewer, and Brown all three play RB? If so how are they all going to see the field and if not, what will they each play?

Marekus has been playing receiver and on the defensive side of the ball. I think Quay will see most of his playing time at FB. I haven't seen a team with this much speed in a long time around here.

That's good to hear. How are we looking at QB? Speedy WR's aren't much help if we can't get the ball to 'em!

Keep an eye on those Jr. Eagles this fall too. This looks to be a promising year for the 9th grade Eagles. Lots of talent.
