The eagles are having a bumpy start but they get to start over new Friday as they enter conference play. The Eagles have to cut the penalties and turnovers out! What eles do the Eagles have to do win ?

No mistakes this week. This is no McGehee.

Robinson is coming into confrence 2-1. The only lose is to the Ricebird and we all know how strong that team always is.

Score more points. Sounds stupid, but that's the key. The offense has got to put points on the board, the more the better. Offense has scored only four TDs this season.

So do you guys think the Eagles have a chance against Robinson, or do you think it will be another game like Magnolia? I was talking to two guys at college today, one from Monticello, and one from McGehee. The guy from Mcgehee was talking about how bad the Owls were this year, and the guy from Monticello said he figured Monticello wouldn't win many games, but they felt like playing Crossett was a sure win.

1975 was the last time crossett went 0-10! I know these boys they couldnt ever let somthing like that happen it. The have got to cut the stupid mistakes out and come out to win all 4 quarters.

Crossett actually moved the football pretty well throughout the game with McGehee, but either froze up in the Red Zone or threw interceptions that stopped the drives. CHS outgained McGehee in that game by about 50 yards. So the offense really improved in every game of the non-conference schedule but still hasn't improved enough yet.

Eagles need to keep the turnovers in check. Hootens says Robinson doesn't do well against passing teams but they still have them as 13 pt. favorites.

according to Ark Prep they went 0-10 (1975),5-5(1976),11-1(1977), and 12-1(1978). that is what ark. prep th elink off of FF says that is just where i go to get my background on everything.

crossett was 0-10 in 1976 not 1975 Crossett was 0-10 the 1975 season, John Pierce's last as head coach. The '75 season was the class of '76 sr. season. Center was Mike Burchfield who walked on at Arkansas and eventually became their deep snapper. QB's were Ken Burchfield and Greg Sharp. Following the '75 season Crossett hired Carl Foxx as head coach and went on to finish 5-5. Foxx lasted one season as head coach and was replaced by assistant Edwin Jonhson as head coach. You know the rest.

Arkansas Prep Sports is right in that case but not about everything. I've already caught at least two mistakes in the record history.
By the way, you may see in Hooten's Arkansas Football Rankings this week that CHS last was 0-3 in 1997. This is incorrect. The Eagles lost to Magnolia and were shut out 35-0 by Warren before defeating Watson Chapel that year, opening at 1-2, not 0-3.

First ever matchup according to the information that I could find. Robinson used to play in a lower classification but moved up in 2000.
Boys' basketball team has played at least once and lost.

Historically Robinson is mostly a running team. I'd have to consult with my "Hooten's Arkansas Football" to tell you much more. There are never any Robinson fans on Fearless for some reason.

Aren't the Pulaski fans kinda spread out between like 3 or 4 teams in the area? That may be why, just a thought. Crossett usually does better against running teams than passing teams, don't they? Hope so, because 0-4 could be devestating to the teams morale for sure. I know this may not be a good thing to ask, so nobody has to answer, but do you think Coach T's job security could be an issue if we go 0-4 or 0-5, or lose 7 or 8 games?

Well, Crossett hasn't faced too many teams that throw the football more than maybe 10 times a game but I would say that no, as a rule, the Eagles don't fare better against running teams than passing ones. During Ingram's tenure they have had a HARD time stopping teams that run the sweep for some reason. Even when White Hall, which never has any real speed, spotted Crossett's weakness in stopping the sweep and swept up about 350 rushing yards against it one night, either last year or two years ago.
