Hey i am the one that is being accused of being the poser! Yes i work at the mill with eaglesvoice but am not half the big dumb$$$ he is.Comeon now,I was banned from the board last year by talking this way.I hope the eagles fly high this year and go 10-0 .I hear the team should be better? If they can start off by beating magnolia, hamburg and mcgehee the ball will be rolling in the right direction. Good luck eagles and to my favorite kid on the team! PETE!!! You aren't very smart are you? He obviously doesn't think we are very smart. We are not going to tolerate his games. If there is another account made and the same kind of stuff going on, I'm going to post his name for everyone to see. I don't want to have to change the settings where Outlaw or myself have to approve all new members, but I will if this continues.

I read that post from "Pete's Secret Agent Man", and I thought, "it just don't get no better than that".

now then faithful eagle fan; I've been to most of the practices, and I think the boys look great! Our offensive line is the engine that's gonna drive this train. All of 'em look strong, and the're coming off the ball quick. I'm seeing good line surge from the offense. We have a stable of strong running backs, some fast, some big and fast. We have three reliable quarterbacks, and in that, I mean we have three guys who can go in and start, and run the offense the entire game. Our linebackers this year are a group of mutated monsters. I saw one of 'em eat a medium sized dog the other day right before practice. I've seen a lot of succesful pitch and catch in the passing game, even under some good pressure on defense. I see a real positive attitude going on out there. These war dogs know they got somthing strong going on this year. Come on out Friday,, you'll see.

I'm really looking forward to Friday night as well. Our defense looked a little shaky yesterday. I hope it was just due to the fact that it was the end of practice and still 100+++ degrees out there. And I know that I'm the very one that screamed about getting back to football talk - but I've got to vent a little too. Heath, I know your watching the practices - but why aren't we seeing any of our Crossett boys in the ANO? I've seen one picture in the last few weeks that was taken in Crossett. Hamburg Lions are getting plenty of coverage. I'm not fussing - but that is the reason I buy the ANO instead of the rival paper. Which brings me to another observation. I see that Steve Sanders is still checking out our message board. Just goes to show you can take the man out of Crossett - but you can't take Crossett out of the man!! We miss you around here Steve and hope everything is going well for you - you'll have to come check out our Eagles on some Friday night.

Heath, I know your watching the practices - but why aren't we seeing any of our Crossett boys in the ANO? I've seen one picture in the last few weeks that was taken in Crossett. Hamburg Lions are getting plenty of coverage. One photo from Crossett. Two from Hamburg. That's not much difference. And Crossett actually has received the lion's share (no pun intended) of the coverage because three different articles mentioned Crossett prominently (one exclusively) while only two have mentioned Hamburg prominently. Don't worry...Crossett will get plenty of coverage. It's a county newspaper, not a Crossett newspaper. You have to keep that in mind. If I sway coverage toward Crossett, I'm sure that you would have no problem with it but then there would be a "faithfullionfan" out there who would be griping because Hamburg didn't get the coverage. And actually, I have to note here that while I have been to about three practices in Crossett (and just one in Hamburg), my intern, Kevin Sims, has been splitting time and covering most of the practices in both places. He has done a good job in football coverage thus far. We have been fortunate to have him. Kevin's going to be covering coach Ingram's former Hermitage Hermits this fall for the Warren Eagle-Democrat. We were hoping that we could retain him, but this really is a better deal for him, since he lives in New Edinburg.
