4/23/2007 Crossett 12-12 10/22 West Helena-Central ?? 0/9 That is copied and pasted from xtrainnings...I guess it says the game was a tie at 12-12, but this person followed their own format so I'm not sure lol. But anyway, looks like at least one of the games may have been a tie...if you know otherwise, or have the other score, please post.

Baseball games don't end in ties. If it ended in a tie I'm betting it's because it was cut short by rain.
Also I was mistaken earlier and the record was 4-6 in conference play after the Monticello losses with only yesterday's two games left to play. No idea how those turned out or even if they were played at all.
Conventional wisdom would hold that the Eagles would make the state tournament as a four seed because they lost to three conference teams, depending upon how that yesterday went.

Yeah, I didn't think a baseball game would end in a tie either, just as no other high school sport that I know of would. That's the main thing that confused me about the posted score. Anyway, when will the teams that make it to post-season be named? And also, if the Eagles make the state tournament, do any of you know if those games will be on the radio? I'd like to listen to them if I can.

Any idea on when the first game is, and who we will play? Or is there a website that follows the state tournament or anything like that?

Any idea on when the first game is, and who we will play? Or is there a website that follows the state tournament or anything like that? There is a bracket on FF under High School baseball then scroll down on that till you find AAAAA State Tournament. Looks like Crossett is playing Alma on Friday@ 5:00.

Ours is a little different than yours. We played in district tournament in Dumas and advanced to regionals in Nashville. We got eliminated on Saturday by what I hear was a very good CAC team. The top teams in regional advance to state. Neverless, I am still proud of them in making it as far as thay did.

Realistically, what are our chances of beating Alma? With them being the number one seed out of the west, I'm sure we are the underdog by a fairly large margin.

Below is a link to the Camden-Fairview site...where the tournament is being held. Crossett plays at 5:00 pm on Friday against Alma. For the AAAAA State Tourn. bracket, open this: www.hometeamsonline.com/visit/?u=camdenal&sport=baseball&t=c For the C-F website go to following. It has an area for the tournament where you can get updates as the game is in progress and photos. Click on this site and then go to the tab for 5A Tournament: www.hometeamsonline.com/visit/?u=CFCARDINALS&sport=baseball&t=c Coach Greg Harris and Coach Bo Smith put on a class act in C-F. I'm sure Southeast Arkansas will be represented well with these guys putting on the tournament. Hope 2 c-ya there!!

I've also heard both; a player told me yesterday that it will be Greenwood, and that's what I printed in the newspaper.

The link on my earlier post says it was updated as of 4/30/07 and shows ALMA. I have talked to school officials this a.m. and ALMA is who is confirmed. BTW....there will be a SEND OFF for the Crossett Eagles at 12 Noon on Friday. It would be nice for them to see a good crowd of folks there to wish them well at the State Tournament. EAGLE SEND OFF - 12 NOON FRIDAY at E.C. Crossett Field. Good Luck Eagles!!!!! Beat ALMA!!!! The State Tournament is in Camden.....and this is a lot closer than Blytheville and other places it has been in the past view years. Come support the Eagles since they are this close....and we'll save the long trip for the championship game in Fayetteville.

Will the 12 & under tourney be at the Boys & Girls Club??? I know Friday's game for the CHS Eagles is scheduled to be at the Boys and Girls Club. I would enjoy watching the 12 y/o's play. That age group is one of the most fun of all to watch. Keep us informed on game times and locations.
